Mackenzie to Host Monthly Senior Day on Jan. 20

MACUNGIE – Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Berks/Lehigh) today announced his Lower Macungie Township district office will be hosting a Senior Day on Friday, Jan. 20. Mackenzie offers the free service on the third Friday of every month, by appointment only.

Mackenzie to Offer Satellite Office Hours in Heidelberg Township

MACUNGIE – Following legislative reapportionment that moved Topton Borough outside the new 187th State House District, Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh) today announced his satellite office has been relocated to the Heidelberg Township Municipal Building. The office was formerly located at Topton Borough Hall.

The free event, which is co-sponsored by St. Luke’s University Health Network, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center, 3450 Brookside Road in Macungie.

House Government Oversight Committee to Investigate Reports of ‘Ghost’ Flights in Pennsylvania, Says Mackenzie

HARRISBURG – The House Government Oversight Committee, chaired by Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Berks/Lehigh), voted today to accept a referral from Speaker of the House Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) and House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) to investigate reports of “ghost” flights landing at airports in Pennsylvania that may have contained children who entered the country illegally. The committee also voted to affirm its ability to issue subpoenas over the course of the investigation.

The township joins Mackenzie in hosting the event.
