HARRISBURG – Legislation sponsored by Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Berks/Lehigh), that would make it a crime in Pennsylvania to publish or disseminate booking photographs or mugshots for commercial use, passed overwhelmingly in the House of Representatives today. House Bill 1736 will next be considered by the Senate.

Mackenzie to Lead Hearing on Congressional Term Limits Tuesday

WHAT: Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Berks/Lehigh), majority chairman of the House State Government Subcommittee on Campaign Finance and Elections, will lead a hearing on the topic of Congressional term limits. Establishing term limits for elected members of Congress would require a constitutional amendment, which could be enacted through a constitutional convention called for under Article V of the U.S. Constitution. Recent polls show an overwhelming majority of voters support term limits for U.S. senators and representatives.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
