MACUNGIE – Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh) announces that his Lower Macungie Township district office will be hosting a Senior Day on Friday, April 21. Mackenzie offers the free service on the third Friday of every month, by appointment only.
Mackenzie’s office in the Lower Macungie Township Administration Building is located at
3402 Brookside Road in Macungie. Older residents interested in scheduling an appointment should please call the office at 610-965-9933 or 833-933-3675 (toll-free).
Senior citizens living on fixed incomes face many financial challenges. Mackenzie’s staff can help to complete applications for a variety of state programs to ease some of the stress. Residents do not need to pay a third party for assistance with these forms.
State programs available to seniors include the PA-1000 Property Tax/Rent Rebate program, PACE/PACENET prescription assistance, reduced vehicle registration fee, handicapped placards, and SEPTA passes.
As always, seniors are welcome any time to come to the office for assistance, but older adults, their family members and caregivers are encouraged to take advantage of the monthly Senior Day opportunity to learn more about the state programs.
