HARRISBURG – Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Berks/Lehigh) announced today that Rodale Institute will be hosting an organic agriculture town hall in participation with him, Rep. Gary W. Day (R-Lehigh/Berks) and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 1 p.m. The town hall will be held at the Rodale Institute Visitors Center, 611 Siegfriedale Road, Kutztown.
Mackenzie noted that agriculture plays a vital role in the Commonwealth’s economy and impacts the lives of all Pennsylvanians. He invited anyone seeking to learn more to attend the town hall and join the discussion.
“Agriculture is the leading industry throughout our state,” said Mackenzie. “I encourage all of those interested in agriculture to attend this informative town hall to find out what resources are available. You do not need to be a farmer to come and participate.”
