Shredder Event Offers Protection from Identity Thieves, Says Mackenzie
9/26/2017
HARRISBURG – An opportunity to have large volumes of paper containing sensitive information shredded for free is being offered by Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Berks) on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lower Macungie Township Administration Building parking lot at 3450 Brookside Road, Macungie.

“These events have always been popular in the district,” said Mackenzie. “They provide the perfect opportunity to have documents containing birth dates, Social Security numbers and bank account information shredded in a secure and convenient manner. What better way to quickly and easily protect yourself from one of the nation’s fastest-growing crimes – identity theft.”

The event is being held in conjunction with Sen. Pat Browne (R-Lehigh) and Lower Macungie Township.

Residents are asked to limit the amount of paper they bring to four boxes or bags per household. The event is for residents only; no businesses, please.

For more information, please call Mackenzie’s office at (610) 965-9933.
