HARRISBURG – State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Berks) and Sen. Pat Browne (R-Lehigh) will partner with The Ben Event to host a Special Needs Awareness Day on Saturday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Macungie Memorial Park, 50 N. Poplar St. in Macungie
“This is a great opportunity for area residents to obtain helpful information about products, services and programs available to help them or a loved one who has special needs,” said Mackenzie. “I appreciate the Ben Event for including us in its event so that we may reach a maximum number of families.”
Special Needs Awareness Day is an opportunity for people of the Lehigh Valley to learn more about service and programs available to the special needs community from local, state and federal resources. Dozens of providers will be on hand to offer information and answer attendees’ questions.
“I appreciate the chance to partner with Rep. Mackenzie and the Ben Event to provide our constituents with an opportunity to learn more about programs and services available to children and adults with special needs,” Sen. Browne said. “Recently, the Commonwealth made an extraordinary commitment to our citizens with disabilities by providing the necessary resources to assist those with special needs achieve independence.”
Special Needs Awareness Day is being sponsored by Lehigh Valley Health Network and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation.
