– Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Berks) announced that on Friday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., his district office will host appointments with an outreach specialist from the American Legion for veterans who have questions about benefits and services they have earned.
“Our veterans have dutifully served our country. In turn, it is our duty to connect them with the benefits they earned,” Mackenzie said. “By working with the outreach specialist, veterans and their families can learn about the many programs in place to help them through the many stages of their lives.”
Services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.
The veterans assistance hours will be held at the district office in the Lower Macungie Township Administration Building, 3402 Brookside Road, Macungie
. Appointments are necessary. Please call Mackenzie’s district office at 610-965-9933 to schedule an appointment with the field service officer or with any questions.
