– On Friday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Berks) is offering appointments with an outreach specialist from the American Legion for veterans who have questions about benefits and services they have earned.
“If you are a veteran or the family member of a veteran with questions or concerns regarding benefits or services available to you, then I encourage you to contact our office and set up an appointment,” said Mackenzie. “Our veterans and their families have sacrificed so much for our country, and this is one small way in which we are trying to give back. This is a personalized service where an outreach specialist will talk with you and help you resolve any issues you are encountering or answer any questions you may have.”
Services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.
Appointments to talk with an outreach specialist are offered the second Friday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mackenzie’s district office at the Lower Macungie Township Administration Building, 3402 Brookside Road, Macungie
. Anyone interested in speaking with the department service officer should call the office at (610) 965-9933 to schedule an appointment.
